1. Clean the filter after each wash
How to do it?
- Run it under running water regularly. Indeed, a dirty filter prevents a good washing of your dishes.
- The filter is located in the bottom of the tank of your dishwasher.
- Unscrew the filter and pass it under running water.
- Dispose of the waste with a sponge with washing-up liquid or a brush.
- Then, screw it again.
2. Wash the door joints and the washing spray arms

Wipe the door joints seal regularly with a damp sponge or paper towel as food or spills may be present.
The washing spray arms
Clean the washing spray arms (also called spray nozzles) two or three times a year. Because food residues can clog the holes and thus alter the quality of washing.
How to do it?
- Read your instruction manual to disassemble properly the wash spray arms.
- Unclog the holes using a sharp object such as a toothpick.
- Then wash them under the tap water.
3. Why are there some white deposits on your dishes?
Insufficient amount of rinsing liquid?
- Fill the rinsing liquid tank located in the dishwasher door.
- Adjust the dispenser setting.
- Increase the amount of rinsing liquid released at each wash cycle.
Insufficient amount of regenerating salt?
- Fill up the regeneration salt container regularly.
- Check the values set in your dishwasher for the water hardness of your neighborhood.
Incorrect setting of the water softener?
- Follow the instructions in your user manual: Adjust upward. (simple setting requiring a few minutes).
Salt tray stopper tight or not?
- Make sure it is tight.
The water of your neighborhood is extremely hard and contains a lot of limestone?
- Contact the company distributing water or your neighborhood, to check the hardness of the water in your area.
- Adjust the water softener according to the hardness of the water.
The water softener setting does not prevent the deposit of limescale in your dishwasher?
- Add specific cleaners to de-scale your dishwasher.
4. Avoid unpleasant smells
How to do it?
- Run 3 times a year with an intensive program your dishwasher when empty (with a de-scaling, de-greasing and de-odorizing product).
- Stop the development of bad smells and bacteria.
- Also put in your appliance a dishwasher deodorizer.
- Check the condition and cleanliness of the door seals.
- Clean them if necessary (as food residues may still be present).
